Delete your GraphBook account
Draft — not in effect. This text is still being reviewed and doesn't apply to anyone yet.
You can delete your GraphBook account at any time, and you don't need to give a reason. GraphBook is run by [operator's registered name — not yet set]; questions: [contact address — not yet set].
In the app
- Open GraphBook and sign in.
- Go to Me › Settings › Delete account.
- Confirm. You're signed out at once and your profile is hidden.
Without the app
If you can't use the app (for example you've lost your phone), write to [contact address — not yet set] and say you want your account deleted. Include the phone number, or the Google or Apple email address, the account uses. Before deleting anything we'll check it's yours: we'll send a code to that number, or reply to that email address.
What happens next
- You have 7 days to change your mind: sign in again and cancel the deletion.
- After 7 days we erase your profile and everything you posted, your messages and your media.
- Some things stay, without your name: recommendations and reviews you wrote are shown as from "A former member", and place knowledge others rely on (landmarks, public spaces, the place wiki) stays. Your username is never given to anyone else.
- Encrypted backups are kept for up to six months, only to recover from a failure, and are then deleted.
Deleting only some of your information
In the app you can edit your profile and delete your works. To have something else you posted removed without deleting your account, write to [contact address — not yet set].
