Terms of use
Draft — not in effect. This text is still being reviewed and doesn't apply to anyone yet.
These terms are an agreement between you and [operator's registered name — not yet set] ("we"), who run GraphBook. By creating an account or using GraphBook you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information. Questions: [contact address — not yet set].
Who can use GraphBook
- You must be 18 or over.
- You sign in with a phone number that can receive our texts, or with your Google or Apple account. One account per person; don't sign in as someone else.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account. If you lose your phone, your number or the account you sign in with, tell us.
What you post
What you post stays yours. You let us store it, show it to other members and on your public profile page, and adapt it to fit the app (for example resizing a photo), for as long as it's on GraphBook. That permission ends when it's removed or you delete your account, except for what the privacy policy says stays without your name.
Post only what you have the right to share, and be accurate: people make decisions based on needs, alerts, prices and recommendations.
Rules
Don't use GraphBook to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- harass, threaten or bully anyone, or post hate against people for who they are;
- scam people, ask for payment for things you won't deliver, or post fake jobs, offers or alerts;
- pretend to be someone else, or a business you don't run;
- share someone's private information, such as their phone number or where they live, without their permission;
- post sexual content, or anything that puts a child at risk;
- post what you don't have the right to share;
- spam, or collect information about members by automated means;
- interfere with GraphBook or get around its limits.
Dealing with other members
GraphBook helps people find each other. It isn't part of what you agree with them: when you hire someone, buy, sell, offer a job or meet in person, that's between you and them. Check who you're dealing with, meet in public places, and don't pay in advance for something you can't verify. A recommendation or a Verified badge is not our guarantee.
Emergencies
GraphBook isn't an emergency service. Alerts and local updates come from members, may be late or wrong, and nobody at GraphBook watches them around the clock. If someone is in danger, call 999 or 112 first.
Answers written by AI
Ask GraphBook, and the features that fill in a form or improve a post for you, use AI. Their answers and drafts can be wrong or incomplete: check them before you rely on them or post them. You're responsible for what you post, including a draft you accepted.
Reports and removal
Report anything that breaks these terms from its menu in the app. We review reports and may remove content, limit an account or close it if it breaks these terms or the law, or puts people at risk.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. We may change or stop parts of GraphBook; if we stop GraphBook altogether, we'll tell you first.
Our responsibility
GraphBook is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and much of it is written by members, not by us. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for what members post or do, or for losses from dealings between members. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law.
Changes and law
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the app before a significant change applies. The laws of Kenya govern these terms.
